„The role of Risk Management in decision making”. It is the topic of the webinar organised by PMI Poland Chapter Krakow Branch on March 18th. It will be led by a Program and Project Risk Management Engineer – Pedro María Sanchez PhD, PMP.
Risk management has been implemented for several years at the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), this includes planning, identification, analysis and limited control. Nevertheless, a process for a proper documentation of the implemented risk responses has not been implemented yet. Caltrans is conducting profound improvements in risk management practices such as the implementation of a database dedicated for storing, analyzing and generating lessons learned.
In addition, the ultimate goal is to provide management with key risk data that can be used for decision-making at the program level. Artificial intelligence by means of Artificial Neural Networks is an option to support data analysis and forecasting.
The main purpose of this webinar is to present the strategy that Caltrans is implementing to manage and control risks at the program level while generating added value to decision makers.
